NOTD and Review, Happy Hands Mayonegg

Happy Hands Nail Polish is a relatively new brand on the Indie scene, but have become very popular, very fast! Last week, they introduced their new collection, "I've Made a Huge Mistake", inspired by the television show Arrested Development. I'm going to admit that I've never watched that show...but that didnt keep me from snagging a couple of these! I actually ordered Mayonegg and Motherboy, both of which are currently sold out. They do restock weekly on their Etsy shop.

Happy Hands Mayonegg

Mayonegg is a white creme, with several different sizes of yellow glitter, and although it didn't show up well in my pic, it does have very pretty shimmer!
This is 2 coats, over Revlon Colorstay Base Coat, topped with Revlon Colorstay Top Coat.

After I painted this hand, I actually thinned the polish with Beauty Secrets nail polish thinner, and painted the other hand(Sorry, no pic of that hand!). Once it is thinned, the yellow glitter on the bottom layer shows through more. Such a neat effect! I will have to redo this mani at some point and share the thinned formula.

Here's my final thoughts.
Although I am not a fan of white polishes(at least not on me), I do like this one. It is unique.
It was thick, but Indie polish is like on of those "Chose your own destiny" books...you get to choose your own consistency! Add as much, or as little, or no thinner...the choice is yours!
I had planned on only wearing this only one day. But it didn't chip. At all. Period. So I held onto it for another day. It must be the combination of a great formula and a great top & base coat.

The shipping was quick, and the pretties were packed carefully in bubble wrap.

  1. Is it bad that I am put off of this nail polish simply because I really don't like mayonnaise? I love the idea of an Arrested Development collection, I can't wait to see what Motherboy looks like!

They really look gorgeous and when I painted my plastic tips with them they are awesome.
